No one could play Celie but Fantasia

Fantasia gave an impressive performance as Celie, leaving a lasting impact on me. Her talent, emotion, and vocal range were exceptional. I can't find any faults with the play; it was engaging, evoking a range of emotions from laughter to tears. The characters, including Harpo, Sophia, Shug, and the Church Ladies, were all fantastic. Missing the initial Chicago run turned out to be a fortunate delay, as watching Fantasia shine as Celie was truly worth the wait. The Aire Crown Theater experience, however, left much to be desired. The balcony seats felt distant, with obstructed views due to a bar. The ushers were disruptive and impolite, making it an unpleasant environment.
